Objective(s): To demonstrate the surgical technique of removal of percutaneously placed pulmonary flow reducer.
Methods: A premature infant born with multiple ventricular septal defects (VSD) was initially palliated with percutaneously pulmonary flow reducers. At the age of 14 months, the child successfully underwent removal of the floe reducer along with closure of the perimembranous VSD.
Results: The flow reducer was successfully removed without injuring the branch pulmonary artery. The operative video demonstrates the technique of removing the flow reducer.
Conclusions: Percutaneously placed flow reducers can be successfully removed even after a year without injuring the branch pulmonary artery.
